The Group comprises Alfa Acciai<\/b><\/a>, one of the largest EAF steel mills in Italy, Acciaierie Sicilia<\/b>, the market benchmark for the production of steel in Southern Italy, Ferroberica<\/b>, at the forefront in Europe in the pre-shaping, assembly and laying of steel for reinforced concrete for all kinds of structural work \u2013 namely roads, railways and maritime infrastructures – and for public, industrial and civil building construction in general, and Tecnofil<\/b>, which is among leading wire drawing mills in Europe for the production of wire.<\/p>\n

Alfa Acciai Group has a great history, which started in the 1950s with the production of steel, rolling steel and downstream processed products, and currently boasts an yearly production capacity of 2.5 million tonnes. <\/b><\/p>\n

Over the years, the parent company Alfa Acciai has implemented a policy of upstream and downstream integration of its business activity, which enables it to meet all its partners\u2019 operating requirements and guarantee a superior standard of quality throughout the production process. <\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Aligned with its corporate culture and long-standing commitment to sustainability, an integral part of its DNA and strategic vision, the Alfa Acciai Group<\/strong> has published an annual Sustainability Report<\/strong> since 2021. This initiative reinforces the Group\u2019s dedication to promoting economic, social, and environmental sustainability<\/strong> while fostering transparent communication and constructive dialogue with all stakeholders.<\/p>\n

Since 2020, the report\u2019s scope has covered the Group\u2019s main operating companies: Alfa Acciai, Acciaierie di Sicilia, Tecnofil, and Ferroberica. In 2024, the holding company Siderurgica Investimenti<\/strong> released its first Sustainability Report<\/strong>, extending the reporting framework to all Group entities. This marks an important step toward compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).<\/p>\n

Although its environmental impact is significantly lower than that of the Group\u2019s two steel plants (Alfa Acciai and Acciaierie di Sicilia), Tecnofil<\/strong> shares the Group\u2019s deep commitment to sustainability<\/strong>. The company has undertaken an extensive energy efficiency program across multiple operations and production processes, most notably the revamping of the wire-drawing plant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
